X.

Capture your smile,
Hahaha hello. If you're reading this, i assume you already know me well enough so i guess i don't have to say anything here. But well, if not, you should at least know my name. It's Shiyun.
I haven't been posting for almost a month now and here i am typing from work HAHAHA. Sunday duty with Karen today. And i need to take Kitty's blood glucose at 3pm.

Life has been extremely draining recently but i'm surviving. Can't remember what i've done everyday for the past one month but here are the more happening things.

So Furby came to work with Esther and I on the 22nd of December. It was like the best day because Dr Grace visited us and we did dental scaling and IV catheter placements! And no my memory isn't that great, i'm actually referring to my own twitter for these things HAHAHA.

This is how my Christmas went:
Had half day work on Christmas Eve before meeting Shuhui for lunchner at Tonkotsu King. They didn't accept NETS so he threw me there for like 10 minutes to find an ATM machine. And i dropped my lava egg that day. That is like, one of the most depressing things in life, seeing your uneaten lava egg on the floor. Never eat lava eggs with Shuhui because Shuli dropped hers too when they ate ramen together HAHAHA.

Kovan

Christmas night was spent with the basketball guys chilling at Iced Edge Cafe (their hazelnut latte is so good heh) and Macdonald's after that. Good quality time spent chatting with the brothers.

Because Mal looks so cute here on the phone

Dinner at Craft Bakery & Cafe with Malvina, Esther and Shana on Boxing day. Yay for yummy food and they didn't charge our white chocolate lava cake (which did not taste like white chocolate). The netball guys came over to pick me before we cabbed down to East Coast Park for night cycling! We had to carry our bikes up and down two overhead bridges and cycle some crazy uphill paths. Passed by my house and they kept asking me if i wanted to go home HAHAHA. We reached back to our starting point at past 5am and left for home. They videoed me babbling nonsense because i talk non-stop when i'm too tired.

Full attendance!

Next day was Christmas gathering at John's house! Knees were dead. We had a great time with our gift exchange and playing Taboo HAHAHA. Glass jar dropped on my phone that day and the screen cracked but thank heavens i got it fixed for free by Sony. Jieni, Eugene, Baojie, Frank, Syahmi and I went to the arcade at AMK hub after that. It's been so long since i went to the arcade man HAHAHA and we had alot of fun there. Shared a card and played the 3 button thing (like bishibashi but another machine), Daytona, House of the Dead, Jubeat and basketball. Turns out Baojie and I have not bad teamwork in basketball yo, we will beat some records someday HAHAHA. They had Popeye's for dinner while i went over to Resort World Sentosa to meet up with Zoey and the rest.

I was the only fully sober kid

Hotel Michael was okay. We had an air fryer in the room HAHAHA so we kept making nuggets, popcorn chicken and whatever not to munch on. Zhiyi received a selfie stick and fisheye lens as his Christmas gift earlier on so we put it to good use immediately HAHAHA. Alot of bribe-worthy photos were taken because they were all a little high on alcohol and being the sober good girl i am, it was quite funny to see everything. Slept a little after sending Fish and Yuefeng off to army and woke up to breakfast in bed by Jihao. He so sweet to buy hotcakes and hashbrown for us while we were all asleep!

I named it but i forgot the name

And how my new year went:
New Year's Eve was spent at Melvin's house watching three horror movies along with Kaiearm. We have successfully recruited another one to watch horror shows with us yay! HAHAHA. I couldn't resist taking a selfie with the red panda soft toy he bought so please forgive me. Zoey, Rebecca, Yuefeng and Fish came over for steamboat through the night. Did our shopping at Hougang One's NTUC and for the first time, we didn't waste food. Watched the interview then we had a second round of steamboat HAHAHA living the fat life. Becca and Fish left early in the morning while Yuefeng, Zoey and I continued nuaing in bed. We had microwaved pizzas for breakfast too HAHAHA.

One of the cafes we hopped to

Afternoon of the first day of the new year was spent with the girls cafe-hopping. We were finding our way around most of the time and we only ate at two HAHAHA (one of them had good truffle fries and i have forgotten the name). Entered and left many cafes because the menu wasn't that attractive and we ended up eating dinner at Macdonald's in Vivocity.

Cindy arrived in Singapore on 7 January and 1/4 of the OMA gang with John brought her out for local food at Makansutra. We shared chicken wings, fried oyster, carrot cake, satay and dishes like vegetables and chicken. Chatted a little by the Singapore River after dinner and John dropped us off back at Ang Mo Kio while Cindy and her fiancee went for a lover's stroll (as what John said) HAHAHA.

Watched Taken 3 with Jieni on 9 January and that was the first time i stepped into the cinema for the past one year. I finally have a life again HAHAHA. Movie was not bad and Xin Wang Cafe was not bad too. Shopped around a little before she went off to NUH for revision of the common test paper while i returned to school for netball training. The court is fixed and it's green but the material is too grainy now. Long time since i played on court and i'm glad my ball didn't fly around that much unlike the last training i attended after a long hiatus. I think i'm old now though, my stamina is decreasing, my mind wants to run but my legs won't carry me HAHAHA. Still good to be with my netballers again.

Last Sunday was my first basketball session in over a month thanks to my busy schedule and slipped disc. And my shooting was on form, i won the guys in ABC and 3-point bullet again HAHAHA. But i'm inconsistent so shooting will probably not be a good idea the next time i play. Melvin helped me buy a khaki army bag too! Got a slight sunburn and well i kinda like the natural blusher effect and hopefully tan lines but i think they are gone already.

Tuesday night was exercise time with my mum and it's quite funny watching her try out the equipments in the newly built exercise corners HAHAHA. I went for a jog too and although my speed was really slow, i hope the 23 minutes of consecutive running has helped to burn some calories. I should jog more often.

Hungry Heroes
Featuring: Miemie and her Winnie the Pooh balloon

Met up with Shuhui for Wednesday and he had to bear with my shopping (because i needed to get some stuff) while waiting for Hungry Heroes to open. Had apple pie and hazelnut Mcflurry for lunch and it tasted a little like Ferrero Rocher or maybe it was just the cornflakes and chocolate. So relaxing to sit in his car and listen to music. If petrol was free, i think i'll ask him to drive around for fun. Caught Jamie on her way home at Bedok to pass her her birthday present and Winnie the Pooh balloon HAHAHA. Such a short interaction time but she always manages to fill it up with laughter. Glad she liked her present!

And more photos at awkward places
Guilty pleasure (truffle fries not in photo)

Still think i'm a little crazy for crashing LSCT Night Cycling after a whole day of work on Friday but i survived well and suffered little knee aches. The route was less tiring than the one Weihao planned and i had an egg and a mushroom cheese prata for supper heh. More than thankful for having Jieni there with me the entire night! And we forgot to take a photo again. Went home for a 3 hour nap before making my way to Tampines to watch Night at the Museum 3 with Jamie. Had lunchner at Chicken Up and i think we consumed a week's worth of calories there with truffle fries, crispy half chicken and a melon bingsu HAHAHA. That was our monthly catch up and good food of the month. She created Snapchat for me and my username is cutieshiyun LOL. Too embarrassing so she is going to be my only contact HAHAHA.

Mustang is sleeping behind my chair now so i can't move HAHAHA.

I have yet to reflect on anything that happened in the passed year although it's already half way through January. Too busy to even think about life. Anyway here are my new year's resolutions that hopefully last:

1. Exercise everyday (even if it's just core training at home)
2. Be more spontaneous
3. Decrease my level of laziness
4. Juggle my life better
5. Learn to let go of things

Such vague resolutions but i guess that's about it for now. Many things happened for the past one year and i am happy at where i am now. Things may not run smoothly all the time but i believe it will turn out alright anyway. Life's been tough but now i am tougher. Best part of the year was the OMA trip. First time in a non-asian country and the experience is unforgettable. Beautiful place and made beautiful friendships. I feel like i've seen the world, and i want to bring my mum to do the same. Time to plan for a trip with her after graduation!

Been a long post and i've been typing for so long HAHAHA. Hope everyone had a good weekend!
