Back here for my weekly (slightly late) blog post.
老朋友s
Had dinner with this bunch last Sunday night at Saizeriya. It was good meeting up with them again after so long, to know that they will be there for you even after periods of being busy and absorbed in our own lives.
Monday was work and then Tuesday chalet with the OMA pioneers. Highlight of the first night was our steamboat dinner. We even cooked maggimee and ate them from a cup. Well, i guess it lives up to its name of 'cup noodles'.
Yumyum
Pardon my big face right there
We had a fun time playing mahjong too. While the others went to sleep, Baojie, Frank, Jieni and I played mahjong/truth or dare through the night HAHAHA. We got bored of the normal mahjong so we started challenging to form 十三幺 and 清一色 LOL. Truth or dare was quite hilarious too because whenever Baojie received a very genuine question, he would asnwer 'My life' in a very deep and inspirational voice. And he actually tried to hide his cheek from Frank when Frank's dare was 'To pull the funniest face' HAHAHA get it get it? Honoured because it's Baojie's first time playing such a game.
KFC breakfast on the next day morning before we bought a little more supplies for the barbecue that night. We rented a basketball at $2 for 3 hours (but we only played for 1.5 hours at max) and played some matches and Bullet at the nearby half court.
We were all slightly burnt after that
Frank and I went to collect the barbecue food while the rest stayed in the chalet to nua and play cards. The rest arrived then we started the fire and our cooking. It was nice to see most of us back together, chatting with one another, catching up and finding out everyone's future plans. And i do hope this group stays together.
Missing 6 others and Dr Akasta
Supposed to stay up all night but i gave in to sleep at 4am since everyone else was asleep. Got ready in the morning, checked out and Frank sent us to North Point for brunch. Guess everyone was tired because it was a rather silent meal HAHAHA. Took 854 back home and resumed with my graduation cards.
Friday was graduation day! Bittersweet feeling because my time spent in Ngee Ann were the best out of all the other years of education. Thankful to the school for all the opportunities given to me, allowing me to learn beyond the confines of the classroom and also nurturing me to grow internally.
My constantly nagging mum that always has faith in my capabilities. Probably the only mum that will joke about my sleeping habit in class instead of scolding me. And i love her.
My brother with smaller eyes than me so it's obvious we don't look alike. I love him even though he's annoying as hell sometimes. I think he loves me too.
My beautiful netballers who took the time to come for my graduation even though i could not make it for theirs. Thanks for attending most trainings for me!
The girls who stood by me through thick and thin for the past 3 years (P.S. we need a better photo)
The OMA pioneers that witnessed the solar eclipse and beautiful sunset with me in Australia
Thankful for all the flowers, cards and gifts from everyone. Had an interview preparation session with John after lunch with the netballers and then i made my way home before going over to Tanjong Pagar for dinner with the girls because it was too chaotic at the graduation ceremony for us to have some proper time together. It was a good night out.
Took the personality test at Tiong Bahru on Saturday morning before meeting Jeff, Aqil, Zhenjie and Rebecca for lunch. We were talking, we were laughing, but i guess all that is to mask up the pain. Had my green tea frappuccino at Starbucks before i went off to Nex for dinner with Zoey and Yuefeng. Lesson of the day was to teach Yuefeng the female lifestyle because Zoey and I bought some girl stuff and he was awkwardly walking around with us HAHAHA. My favourite people to hang out with on a weekend night.
Sorry for these two bad sequenced photos but they are the only portraits
A before photo because we were early
And say hi to Rebecca!
Just look at that amazing view
Jingyin came over for a picture even though his race was hours before ours
As you can see, Sunday morning was the National Vertical Marathon that i've been anticipating for so long. Sadly, i was alot weaker than what everyone expected. Time to get back to basketball and climbing stairs everyday. Melvin expected me to start walking at level 30, Kaiearm expected me to start walking at level 20 and guess what, i only ran until level 5 HAHAHA. Thankful for Melvin who lended me a hand whenever i needed support and no abandoning the burden goh even though i was extremely slow like a snail. IT'S OKAY I WILL TRAIN TO BE A FIT KID AGAIN. And hopefully live up to their expectations next year HAHAHA. I love their shirt though, so comfy heh.
Accompanied Esther for her interview at Wavehouse later in the afternoon and we did some present shopping at Vivocity after that. I was broke so we had Macdonald's for dinner HAHAHA because i accidentally shopped for myself too oops.
I guess i look better with only half my face LOL
Our telepathic matching outfits
Yesterday's work ended early because i was supposed to prepare for my MOHH interview this morning but i didn't do much. Too tired from everything and instead of taking a nap, here i am blogging like a 笨蛋 HAHAHA. The interview was well, i don't know how to gauge. Let's just hope for the best.
Goodbye everyone! Be back next week. On a side note, two more working days left at ARVC! (finally)
