X.

Capture your smile,
Hahaha hello. If you're reading this, i assume you already know me well enough so i guess i don't have to say anything here. But well, if not, you should at least know my name. It's Shiyun.
Oh gosh i was so busy and caught up with the many events that i forgot that i actually forgot to blog for three weeks already. Seems like there's alot to catch up on here. Maybe i sprained my brain in the process of spraining my foot. Mind seems to be so off these days.

Anyway, the last week of April was one of the worst weeks. In a nutshell, i sprained my foot (thus unable to exercise for a month), got tension headache (that did not subside even with panadol for more than 12 hours and the doctor says it's because i have an overactive brain which causes my insomnia and that i am a weak kid so i cannot be a veterinarian and i cannot watch horror shows) and ran a fever (wasted my off days lying at home, tried to brave through the fever to watch a movie at night but the movie turned out to have not enough seats). Life is kinda hard being me sometimes HAHAHA.

Meet my soul healer

My broken soul needed healing so i asked Esther out for a Sundate at Sunday Folks. (get it?) We had icecream waffles, truffle fries from Fat Boys and a frappuccino from Starbucks. So thankful for this kid who sacrificed her precious hibernation nap time to heal my soul on 3rd May.

Rest of the days before i flew to Bangkok was mainly spent trying to make some progress with the graduation cards, watching South Park and working. Speaking of working, i have work tomorrow but all i want to do is just nua at home all day long.

Sunflower Garden

Visited the sunflower garden before we went on our plane. I thought it was really going to be a decent sized garden but actually it is just a balcony growing sunflowers hahaha. The flowers were pretty though! And off we flew to Bangkok. Let the pictures do the talking.

Shana and Malvina were quite a few rows behind us

And we're out on our first night to explore the nearby streets after checking in to our hotel

Tried some nice banana+nutella+egg crepe and a sunflower durian icecream

Went over to BigC to get our supply of food after visiting some roadside stalls. Malvina and Shana had to get their own shopping carts, and they were full. This shows how scary they are HAHAHA.

And here we are back at our cosy hotel on the end of Day 1

So we went to Chatuchak on Day 2 and it was blazing hot there. Spent quite a number of hours around the place and my feet hurt like mad halfway through the day. Good thing i got my sunnies at one of the roadside stalls the day before HAHAHA.

Forgot the name of the night market we visited on Day 2 Night but we tried this Milo dessert and a salmon roe+seafood tomyam pizza. The pizza may not look like much but i think it's the best pizza i've eaten so far (as good as Domino's).

This is Malvina and me being bored waiting for Shana and Esther to get their body paint done so we took a picture. They went for the high class temporary tattoos while we used the cheap 'magic' water HAHAHA.

The two pigs refused to wake up on Day 3 morning

So Malvina and I were taking pictures again HAHAHA

And finally we got ready to go. Look at our tired faces and that's me posing with my Thailand Yakult equivalent.

We had the famous wanton mee for breakfast and i saw why it was famous HAHAHA it tasted really quite good. Weather forecast predicted a little rain so we went to shop at Platinum Mall that day. Much more comfortable shopping experience compared to the day before HAHAHA but weak kid goh still had painful soles after that.

Our lunch at the top floor of the mall. (you can see why i never ever take food photos from how ugly this photo looks) It was yummy except for the green curry that wasn't quite nice. We had mango sticky rice for dessert and it was my first time eating it, never tried before in Singapore. The mangoes were so sweet! I should've just bought alot of mangoes and bring them all back to Singapore.

We went to Khaosan Road that night to shop but it turned out to be predominantly bars. So we went get some alcohol to chill and play Connect 4. It got pretty intense at the end because they got a little tipsy from the beer HAHAHA.

This is us on the cab on Day 4 going to the cafes at Thonglor Avenue

The crepes were our breakfast and they were so cheap and good! It's the Shibuya Honey Toast on the right from After You Cafe. Heard that it tasted awesome but my awesome flu rendered my taste buds useless so i didn't know what i was eating at all sadly.

We went to Purr Cat Club Cafe around the area and got some desserts and drinks to waive off the entrance fees. Look at the cute brownies and latte art!

This bengal is beautiful

This baby persian just woke up from her nap

Pardon my selfies with these two cuties

Their family tree of Maine coons, Persians and British Short Hairs

Our photo with the two grumpy cat wall decor

And our photo with a few grumpy and not-so-grumpy cats around us

Comfy dinner back in our hotel room

We went around to shop a little at night before we returned to our hotel for a good night's sleep. Wanted to go to Pratunam's morning market but it was pouring in the morning so we slept in instead. And we realised we bought different plane tickets back to Singapore so Esther and I had to leave first.

Back to Singapore where all the expensive food and clothes are

Slept a lot that night to make up for the sleep debt accumulated throughout the Bangkok trip. Next day was spent doing graduation cards like a hardworking kid and nuaing even more.

Work on Friday broke my all-time record of the latest lunchtime. Took my lunch at past 6pm and i only had fruits and corn. Celine jogged by to have supper with Chris and Shuhui came to drive me and Esther for supper so we all decided to eat together at Upper Thomson. Thank you my personal chauffeur for always being so nice to drive me home even though you always get lost halfway and i always fail to guide you using the GPS because im noob like that.

Teh-C Honeycreme

Without Weihao because he came later and missed this photo

Met Shuhui and Yangrui at town yesterday for a super short shopping session and my first honeycreme before we cabbed over to Terence's house for his 21st birthday party. We had a good time watching Batman and Robin HAHAHA, eating a nice dinner and playing the King's Cup through half of the night because they drank too fast and they all got drunk. Only managed to catch around 2-3 hours of sleep from 6.30am in the morning and i'm surprised i'm surviving well HAHAHA.

And i think i've been at this for almost 2 hours already and i should stop to maybe continue my graduation cards or... watch South Park. HAHAHA okay goodbye!
