And yes i'm still too lazy to blog about Perth (and also because i have no time to do that). Will probably only talk about the trip when i'm settled back in school (of when i foresee myself forgetting most details).
My face when Char Grill Bar told me they ran out of salted egg sauce for the chicken and i had to eat chicken rice instead
Marina Barrage was nearer than i expected
Probably one of the most decent photos we ever had
And fun shot!
SAMBAL SOTONG WAS SO GOOD I CAN'T EMPHASISE IT ENOUGH
The sotong was cooked to perfection and i mean it when i say perfection. It's chewy enough but not to the extent you can't cut it up and your jaw gets tired. We had that along with cereal chicken, fried rice, prawn omelette, sambal kangkong and baby kailan at Thaipan for dinner! It was super good super yummy, i definitely need to go back there again. (I'm hungry now talking about this) (Yes i use talking because i always have an internal conversation going on while i blog)
Thursday was Day 1 HSIC. Dad sent me to Expo early in the morning and i got to meet my group for the first time HAHAHA. This year's a little different, they head straight to Pulau Ubin for goal setting, flag decoration and logistics auction. Three game stations were played too before the day ended with them cooking dinner and having a team debrief. We facilitators were like practising our campfire performance in the middle of the night at the assembly area with a spotlight HAHAHA. But all was well. Cleaned up a little before Yifen, Huimin and I went over to sleep by the beach. Sea breeze was cooling but a little too cooling near dawn HAHAHA. Some photos from Day 1 below:

Friday Day 2 HSIC was the hardest day as per last year too. Their situational test was pretty similar to ours and we walked around the island for over 5 hours. We had catered chicken rice for dinner before campfire yay! The same chicken rice from last year; always tastes like heaven after camp food for the past few meals HAHAHA. Such a shame i had to leave in the midst of campfire performances because i had to catch the last ferry back but super thankful for my fellow facilitators Jasmine and Sze Zhin for being so understanding and patient with me! And also my group for being such a great bunch to talk to. All the best to them and may everything go well! Some photos from Day 2 below:
At the jetty walk
Jump shot (i dont say)
Saturday morning was spent in Ngee Ann facilitating Hard Knocks Cafe. I think i scared the veterinary students regarding the cost of university and job availability after graduation HAHAHA but oh well it's the harsh reality for people pursuing that career. Jamie and i went over to Tampines after that to eat random snacks and supposedly shop but the only person who ended up shopping was me, on a notebook from The Paper Stone HAHAHA. We ate the old popiah sweet thing too! Here is us and our KOI.
Our macchiatos
Black tea vs Green tea
SHE WAS SHAKING SO HARD TO ACHIEVE THAT BOUNCING EFFECT HAHAHA
Had dinner with Shana and Mal at Sushi Express afterwards. Feels so good to satisfy our sushi cravings HAHAHA been super long since i last ate sashimi. Went over to Coffee Bean to talk the rest of the night until Magdalene and Suyi came before we all left for home. Can't wait to see them again on Monday!
Met up with Sze Zhin and Jasmine at Just Acia Dhoby Ghaut to finish up some of our camp work. I had like 3 cups of their Nescafe white coffee because it was THAT good HAHAHA or rather, i just have an issue with coffee now. Went over to Somerset to meet Shana during her break then I trained back home. Dinner was spaghetti! Put the mentaiko sauce to good use and yumz it tasted great. Gonna buy more when i'm back in Perth HAHAHA.
Tuesday was a nua day because i'm a nua soul. Had KFC lunch with my mum and did some grocery shopping in the afternoon. Jamie came over later on and we went over to AMK together for a simple dinner with some of the OMA peeps! Almost wore fbt over but Jamie refused to let me HAHAHA. While the rest ordered their individual food, John, Brandon, Jamie and I shared sambal kangkong, sambal stingray, tofu and pork. Local food sooo good! Gonna miss all this when i'm in Perth again :( Here's us, almost half of the team:

Yesterday was supposed to be gym day with Mal but we decided that the sky was too gloomy and we're too old for physical exercise so we decided to nua at her place and watch Now You See Me over lunch instead. She kept asking me questions about the show even though she was the one who watched it before LOL. Mal will always be mal. And we're always doing stupid things in life like, leaving the queue in Macdonald's halfway because the car servicing shop was closing in 10 minutes and we had to grab a cab that stopped at the traffic light to rush there in time to collect her mum's car HAHAHA. What an adventure. Pigs as we are, we went to have shaker twister fries, cinnamon meltz and salted caramel icecream cone from Macdonald's afterwards. Afterwards meaning after heading back to her house to grab a cashcard because we had no cashcard to park the car near Mac. Life HAHAHA. Anyway i'm totally in love with the shaker twister fries HAHAHA but please i need to control my fat ass because i'm a fat ass.
Had my favourite mala thing at Hougang Mall with my mum today for lunch! Now i'm nuaing at home and dreading the moment i have to leave house which is in just 20 minutes sighpie. But no, i need to go for netball training and be healthy and less fat. Have a good everything everyone! :)
