X.

Capture your smile,
Hahaha hello. If you're reading this, i assume you already know me well enough so i guess i don't have to say anything here. But well, if not, you should at least know my name. It's Shiyun.
We won't say our goodbyes
You know it's better that way
We won't break, we won't die
It's just a moment of change
All we are - One Republic
Too apt right now

Its 11 days to my first exam and i've just started to get my shit together HAHAHA better late than never right? I will finish this post and continue with my Concepts of Occupational Therapy revision. Indigenous Culture has saturated my brain for the past three days but i'm glad i got most of the notes done. Picking up from where i left off..

The previous week. Mal came over on Friday evening so we could go to the Pasar Malam 2016 (like it's a legit event named Pasar Malam) in my school with quite a number of food stalls around, game stalls and even free rides HAHAHA. We tried the kimchi pancake and indomie hotdog (the bun was replaced by indomie). Doesn't sound like a lot but we got full anyway. Tried our luck at the lotto stall in an attempt to win a giant Scooby Doo but that night just wasn't our night. $30 spent on buying tickets without the winning numbers HAHAHA oh well, experience. We had Taro Taro for dessert before heading home too!

Saturday. Mal drove us to IKEA to grab a bigger rug for the living room because we decided to use the smaller one to absorb the treadmill impact on the parquet. Came back to have lunch while trying to be productive. Productive part always fails somehow. On Sunday, Mal drove us to Spotlight to get cloths to cover our mirrors because we're superstitious kids HAHAHA. Thanks for always driving around Mal! Many appreciations for your safe driving (and trust when turning out into Canning Highway HAHAHA).

As usual, Mondays are for Running Man and netball with the girls. Of course i enjoyed watching Running Man, but super sad to know that Gary is leaving the show. :( On a lighter note, Lets Do Shotsss (my Monday team) won our first game! And we also won the last game of the semester a few days back! It's so good to see everyone playing better as a team compared to how we started out. We should totally receive the greatest improvement award since we jumped up a division despite being the last in the previous semester and we actually won the two final games! Can't wait to play with those girls again next year.

Tuesday semifinals for KV didn't have the ideal results but the team put up a good fight. Lost by one point with 6 minutes extra time, close one it was. Even though we don't get a t-shirt, we got 3rd place still! Went to the gym on Wednesday after practicing wheelchair transfers with Bellerie. So an acquaintance corrected my form and now i know how weak i actually am HAHAHA damnit. Time to train more. I WILL WAKE UP EARLY ENOUGH TO WORK OUT TOMORROW.

So i met Mal at Garden City last Thursday to get yoga mats so we can all be healthy kids and get abs together. We ordered Domino's for dinner that night so we could eat pizza while watching the finale of The Bachelorette. WE WERE SO HAPPY THAT LEE WON HAHAHA. He's super duper cute and i'm not even kidding. Yay for all the happily ever afters!

Friday was a stay home day to study (which wasn't productive for me. I know, it hasn't been productive at all and thus explains why i said i'll start to get my shit together now). We went over to Westfield Carousel to have Nene Chicken for lunch. Craving satisfied for the semester HAHAHA yumz but once a semester is more than enough because the flavours are so strong. We tried the super spicy one this time and yes it was super spicy. Similar taste to the super spicy Korean noodles!

Mal and Joyce dropped me home after lunch on Sunday so i could get ready for KV's Masquerade Ball. Wasn't really much of a ball since there weren't proper seats and they had a dance floor for some pseudo clubbing experience. You would know that i probably escaped somewhere to hide HAHAHA. I must say that their butter chicken rice was awesome. Still a good night overall! Here are some photos:

A bunch of us (best description i can come up with)

See the difference between DSLR and phone camera? HAHAHA

And another bunch of us

Love-hate relationship with the two guys HAHAHA | Thanks Joyce for lending the dress and Mal for the bag! (i have almost nothing over here)

Photobooth

Dance floor (see how crazy they all are)

I've been drinking coffee the past few days so i could stay up to catch up with some work and i'm glad i did because i would never have the motivation to do it now in the afternoon/evening. I take pride in my laziness and procrastination. Not really HAHAHA.

Finally finished using one of my notebooks yesterday! Sense of satisfaction for not wasting any paper and feeling proud of myself for being sort of productive/hardworking. To everyone who knew me in Xinmin and Ngee Ann, I've turned over a new leaf HAHAHA. I'm a good girl now.

Hasn't been the best phase but i can only believe that things will get better from here. Go along with the flow, ride along the waves, let it bring us wherever we're meant to be.

"You don't need to set yourself on fire to keep others warm."
Gotta keep that in mind.

18 more days till the end of exams and 21 more days till the flight back. Can't wait to return to Singapore where home truly is home.
