Obviously i can't remember what i did on the last few days of February, but Mal's mum flew over on 2 March followed by Shana and Esther on 3 March to visit. That being the more interesting part of life, i assume you wouldn't want to read about my monotonous days going to school, coming home to do work and watching some cooking show while we eat our dinners everyday. Here goes.
(not many photos because we aren't tourists HAHAHA)
2 March night: Mal's mum came over and we had homemade haidilao steamboat for dinner. Super healthy though cause i think the only kind of meat we had was prawn dumplings HAHAHA but still yummy all the same.
3 March: Did some grocery shopping before fetching Shana and Esther from the airport. We had dinner at Twilight Hawker Market and my favourite is still their cheese gozleme, best thing ever! Walked around a little and had an early night.
4 March: Went around Swan Valley visiting the usual Mondo Nougats, Mourish Nuts, House of House, Margaret River Chocolate Factory, some wineries and Lavender Bistro (my first time). I swear Lavender Bistro was like my tiny heaven because everything was lavender. Sadly, we didn't have time to try any food or drinks over at the cafe but it was still a feast for my eyes and nose. Headed back home to drop some buys before we left for Murdoch University to attend Mal's clinic coat ceremony.
Then some beachgoers told us the stingray was on the other end of the beach so we migrated over and fed them! The stingrays were huge and there were eagle rays around too. Super adorable! They would head bump our legs and just push us forward. I felt the barb on their tails but it wasn't erected or anything so it was alright. Their skin felt really smooth and a little slimy, their mouths are at the bottom of its body and they draw the fish in by suction kind of. I miss them already!! Time for photos!
Trying to use Joyce's sunglasses to selfie LOL
All of us girls!
So that's our unicorn ride on the left HAHAHA | Trying hard to spot stingrays

6 & 7 March: Normal days because we have school so the day was spent doing work at home. Sent mal's mum off to the airport on Monday and the girls came over and waited for my netball game to end and drove me home! Blessed i am. So speaking about netball, I'm in two new teams and i'm happy with them! New experience with new players and i'm looking forward to more games for the rest of the season. Oh, and we had May St Larder for lunch too.
Cause i look gay here
8 March: It was my free day with no school so i brought Shana and Esther to Rottnest Island. Stupid me didn't select the right timing for the ferry so we missed the intended 930am one and got on the 1130am ferry instead. Surprisingly, i didn't suffer too much from motion sickness this time. So we got our bikes and went to the usual Parker Point Loop (i should really head towards the other direction next time). Love the seabreeze at various bays and love the landscape as much as always. Shared some water with quokkas to fight the summer heat and they were just like hamsters licking off the water on my palm. I miss those little cutie pies already! Cycling was tough on that terrain as usual but we survived HAHAHA. Here's the happiest animal on earth!
FLUFFY CUTIE PIES
Landscape too pretty
See how strong the seabreeze is!
Found more cuties at town centre | I look like i'm scolding the poor fella HAHAHA but nope i was just letting it lick the water off my finger
9 March: Mal and gang came to pick me up from KV and we had lunch together at Carousel Mall. Buckin' Bull was not bad! Mal and I had the pork belly and pork belly is always good HAHAHA. The tourists did some shopping and we headed back home to receive Tyson to have him for a one-night trial. Unfortunately, it didn't go well so we had to return him the next day. He was super loving though, i miss him despite his naughtiness :'(
10 March: Friday is city day! Brought Shana to Watertown by bus, train and shuttle bus HAHAHA i let the tourist experience all the public transport in a day. Went outlet shopping and some damage was done HAHAHA but i think we controlled ourselves pretty well. The rest came to pick us up and we had dinner at Ciao Italia! Met a cute guy there HAHAHA. We had my favourite vodka penne and tried the matcha tiramisu but i think i prefer the original one. Till the next visitor comes!
11 March: Visited Caversham Wildlife Park on Saturday. Still don't really like that place because of the druggy kangaroos but well it's nice to see animals nonetheless! Pictures below. We went over to Garden City afterwards for some snacks before heading over to Siuyi's house to visit her new Alaskan Malamute puppy. It was super cute! Can't wait to return to Singapore and get a dog of my own.

With my favourite fatty wombat heheh
12 March: Sunday was a stay-in day for me with Joyce while Mal brought the tourists out to Fremantle Market. We had a nice random karaoke session (which i was enjoying a little too much) at night HAHAHA turns out it was just to make noise so i don't hear Bellerie, Javier and Gary entering the house. They were so sweet to come over and surprise me at midnight!! I've been blessed with good friends and i really appreciate having them around to support me through my university journey. Matchamisu (credits to mal who chose it - she knows me well heheh) from Utopia was super yummy too!
13 March: So i didn't get much sleep but i had to go to school (Monday blues are real). Best way to spend my birthday is to nap when i came home and i did HAHAHA. Napping feels sooooo good. Made my way to school for netball and because it was my birthday, i had a free Uber driver heheh. Much love for Mal.
14 March: Visited Moore & Moore for brunch before doing some last minute shopping at Target and Coles. Sent the girls to the airport and Mal sent me to school for netball. Super sweet of her to wait for my match to end to send me home too! Really really appreciate the time she spent on me! So we played against KV Tigers and we won by one ball HAHAHA. It was pouring like mad and i had a good bath just running around on court. Good match still.
Wednesday free day was spent catching up with my accumulated work and Thursday was a full day in school having workshops, pathophysiology e-test and interviewing Charlotte (Bellerie's housemate) for OTPP's workshop on Monday. It felt like a productive day because on top of that, i finished 100 words of my 2000 word essay too!
Yesterday was more of a relaxed day but i managed to clear all the outstanding lectures and notes to write (except pathophysiology since the test is over and there isn't any written exam for the module so i'm still considering whether writing notes is worth it). Now i'm here blogging when i should really be doing my OTPP portfolio or continuing my essay. I still have half a day!! I CAN DO THIS.
Have a good weekend everyone! :)
